JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A driver had to be cut out of his car after a bad crash in Johnston County late Tuesday night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. along Old Drug Store Road, about a mile off of NC-42, near Garner.

A man was seriously injured late Tuesday night when his car rolled over several times before hitting a brick wall.

Authorities said the driver was rushed to the hospital after his car overturned multiple times before slamming into the brick entrance of a subdivision.

No one else was in the vehicle.

It is unclear what caused the car to overturn and crash.
