Oak City Cares is the December Triangle NC Cares Award winner

About Oak City Cares

Oak City Cares is a public-private partnership that exists to support the self-determination of our neighbors experiencing homelessness through trusting relationships and connections to coordinated services that increase their ability to be safely and stably housed. They belive no person should experience homelessness alone. Oak City Cares is a gathering space where we listen to, connect with, and serve persons at-risk or experiencing homelessness so they can quickly reestablish a home.

Oak City Cares is a hub for connecting individuals and families, who are at risk of, or are experiencing homelessness, to coordinated services that create a path to stable housing and renewed hope. Their staff coordinates services offered by human service professionals, medical providers, and other specialists from multiple partners at one location.

Oak City Cares replaces the Oak City Outreach Center, previously located near Moore Square with a facility that is six times larger. Learn more.
