CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- A University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill research assistant professor is facing felony child sexual exploitation charges.
Kuo Hsiung Yang, 33, was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He is currently being held in the Orange County jail under a $500,000 bond.
Details surrounding the case have not been released. The FBI is also investigating.
ABC11 contacted the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Middle District. A spokesperson said there are no federal charges at this time, but Yang's arrest is part of a federal investigation.
