106 wonderful years! Raleigh woman celebrates big birthday

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Gladys Branche was born on August 20th, 1918. She was a hairdresser until she retired.

She loves kids -- especially her two grandkids and three great-grandkids. She's a lifelong member of Mount Peace Baptist Church.

Tuesday, her church threw her a birthday lunch at her nursing home in Raleigh. She said the excitement from the party made her want to dance.

"Oh, I feel like I can get up and dance a little bit."

Branche tells ABC11 that the secret to longevity is to "listen to everyone."
