Driver injured, faces charges after police chase ends in Durham crash

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A person is hospitalized and facing multiple charges after a police chase early Friday morning ended in a crash.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, troopers attempted to stop a vehicle at the Budget Inn off I-85 just after midnight.

The driver struck a patrol car and sped off.

The pursuit ended on Lynn Road in Durham when the driver lost control and crashed.
