Secretary of NC, her staff donates 55 bikes to Durham children for Christmas

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Dozens of children in Durham will be riding in style this Christmas, thanks to a generous donation from the Secretary of State's office.

Secretary Elaine Marshall and her staff visited the Durham Rescue Mission yesterday to deliver 55 brand-new bicycles for children in need. The bikes were collected during a drive organized by staffers at the Secretary's office over the past few weeks.

Secretary Marshall said it is important to bring some joy and opportunity to children during the holiday season.
