Carolina Tiger Rescue announces death of beloved tiger Naveen

PITTSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Carolina Tiger Rescue in Chatham County has announced the death of a beloved tiger named Naveen.

The rescue shared on Facebook that staff made the difficult decision to euthanize Naveen after a brief illness.

Lab results revealed he suffered from a non-infectious inflammatory response that caused brain damage and appeared to have experienced one or more strokes.

The rescue is remembering Naveen as a social tiger who enjoyed interacting with visitors.
