FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Fayetteville Fire Department is introducing its newest team member -- Lucy, the department's second crisis response dog.
Lucy is trained to help firefighters cope with stress and anxiety during and after emergency situations. She will be assigned to Fire Station 14 and will live with her firefighter handler when off duty.
A welcome ceremony is planned for Wednesday afternoon, where Lucy will be formally presented with her official crisis response dog vest.
