2 injured in Sampson County crash

ROSEBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two people were injured in a crash Saturday afternoon in Sampson County, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say a Ford Crown Victoria was traveling on Butler Island Road into downtown Roseboro when the driver lost control while attempting to turn onto Owen Street. The car then collided head-on with another vehicle.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, though impairment has not been confirmed.

Both drivers were injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
