Intruders fire shots at man returning home in Wake County
RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A man returning to his Wake County home Friday night encountered two home invaders who began firing shots at his car.
Wake County sheriff's deputies were sent to the 5000 block of Royal Acres Drive around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a possible break-in and shots fired.
The victim told authorities when he got home, he saw a man coming out of his house. That suspect reportedly began firing shots at the victim's car.
Another suspect in the edge of the victim's yard also opened fire. The victim drove away and called 911.
The suspects ran from the scene. The victim said they appeared to be wearing dark clothing.
