RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- First Alert Forecast: Dangerous heat continues across Central NC. A Heat Advisory is in effect through 8pm.
It'll be a hot evening across Central NC. A few storms are possible, especially in the Sandhills this evening. Overnight, lows will be in the 70s with a partly cloudy sky.
We'll likely see another Heat Advisory tomorrow, along with a better chance for late-day storms as a front approaches. The Triangle, and areas north, are under a Level 2 risk for damaging straight-line winds.

Tuesday will be the coolest day of the week, with highs in the mid-80s and a slight chance for showers. A better chance of rain exists south and east of the Triangle.
Highs will jump back into the 90s by Wednesday, and those 90s stick around through the end of the week as well.
Long-range guidance continues to show a favorable setup for rain and storms on Friday, so we've increased the rain chances. Treading cautiously, though - models have teased us with healthy rainfall amounts before pulling back as we get closer.
Have a great night!
