WELDON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Halifax County Sheriff's Office has one man in custody in the murder of 15-year-old Keyuon T. Garner Monday night and has identified a second suspect.

Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp said at a news conference Thursday afternoon that 19-year-old Samaj-Tojuan Clanton is charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Deputies are looking for 18-year-old Teddy Keith Anderson Jr., of Weldon.

The shooting happened at 9:30 p.m. in the area near 11th and Maple streets outside the town of Weldon.

Tripp said Garner was walking with a group when two men came out of a wooded area and started shooting.

Garner was killed and 20-year-old Calvin Robinson was shot in the back. Seventeen-year-old Wilson Green was shot in the leg.

Tripp would not talk about a motive. He said "other arrests of other individuals are expected."

Garner's murder was one of two shooting in the Weldon area that night.

Around 12:30 a.m., Weldon police were called to the 600 block of Cedar Street after shots were fired into a home that was less than a mile away from the first scene.

A 2-year-old girl, later identified by family members as Dyana Anderson, was killed. The girl's 54-year-old grandmother, Katherine Price, was also injured.

Sheriff Tripp said Thursday he believes the two shootings are related, but declined to elaborate. He said the Halifax County Sheriff's Office continues to assist the Weldon Police Department and the SBI in that case.

Anyone with information on Anderson's whereabouts is urged to contact the Halifax County Sheriff's Office at (252) 583-8201, Halifax County Crime Stoppers at (252) 583-4444, or the Weldon Police Department at (252) 536-3136.
