94-year-old WWII vet gets surprise tickets to Fort Bragg game

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WTVD) -- Hubert Edwards is a 97-year-old World War II veteran and a huge Atlanta Braves fan.

You can imagine his disappointment after hearing the first MLB game at Fort Bragg between his Braves and the Miami Marlins was only open to active duty military members and their families.

That is until he was surprised with a ticket! He couldn't contain his smile

It was his first Braves game ever...

He got to meet the team...

Including his favorite player...

And the coach...

And people all over the internet were inspired!
