Police charged an illegal immigrant with the murder of a Fayetteville woman.

Paulette Locklear, 64, was found dead outside her home Tuesday, shortly after calling 911.

The suspect, 45-year-old Julio Cesar Ramos, is an illegal immigrant from Honduras. Authorities say he had been deported from the U.S. at least one dozen times since 1989.

Authorities say Ramos has so many aliases they are not certain of his true identity.

He is charged with first-degree murder and will make his first court appearance today. He told authorities he is homeless and unemployed.

Authorities believe Ramos beat Locklear to death outside her Fayetteville home. However, the cause of death has not been determined by the medical examiner.

Locklear called 911 after Ramos allegedly became violent and began breaking windows in an attempt to get inside her residence.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found Locklear's body.

Ramos is being held without bond.
