Police: Suspect robbed bank branch inside Harris Teeter

Cary police are looking for a suspect who they say robbed a SunTrust bank branch that is located inside a Harris Teeter grocery store.

Police say the suspect entered the grocery store on Highway 55 and approached a teller around 6:30 p.m. on December 17.

The suspected showed the teller a gun, which turned out to be plastic, and demanded money. The suspect received an undetermined amount of cash and fled the store.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25-30 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, and 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, a blue knit hat, jeans, and possibly a light blue shirt.
