Officer involved in traffic accident

FAYETTEVILLE It happened just after 7 p.m. Monday on Country Club Drive near Murchison Road.

Officials say it appears a vehicle turned into the path of the patrol car.

Both vehicles sustained major damage, but no injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing. Further details about the incident have not been released.
