Police say it appears the man stepped out into traffic and was hit by a car.
He was rushed to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries.
Raleigh Police had to shut down one lane of Capital Boulevard between Spring Forest and Millbrook roads as they cleared the scene.
The victim's name has not been released.
