Man injured in overnight shooting

RALEIGH Raleigh police say the victim was shot at the IHOP restaurant at the corner of Capital Boulevard and Huntleigh Drive around 3 a.m.

Darrice Jamar Covington, 22, of North Allen Road in Wake Forest, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the back.

Investigators say his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the shooting, and no arrests have been made.
