Fayetteville police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect from a sexual assault that happened on Dec. 9. They've released a composite sketch of one of the assailants.

The 30-year-old victim told police she was leaving a friend's house on Bonnie Street when two occupants in a pale green Dodge Neon, with a dent on the passenger side, drove up to her and started to talk to her.

At one point, the victim was forced to get in the vehicle.

After getting in the vehicle, the suspects allegedly drove the victim to an undisclosed location along Blount Street where the victim was sexually assaulted. After the assault, the victim was left at the scene and the suspects drove away.

The suspect in the sketch is described as a dark skin black male, in his mid-20s, standing about 5'4" tall. He has short hair and was wearing a dark colored, long sleeved checkered dress shirt with a white tank top underneath along with black jeans and tan boots.

Anyone recognizing the suspect is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856 or CrimeStoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
