Police arrest teen, search for another in Durham shooting

DURHAM, N.C.

Police said on Tuesday, a 36-year-old male was walking in the 800 block of Eva Street around 8:30 p.m. when two males approached him from behind and shot him. The suspects fled the scene in a van.  

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

Police arrested 17-year-old Jarrion Elgric Hood on Friday. He is in custody at the Durham County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and kidnapping under a $500,000 secured bond.

Police are still searching for 19-year-old Tyrico "Smiley" Bowens, of Grant Street.
