NC State Wolfpack wing Trevor Lacey will forgo his senior season and enter the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 15.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists last season, his first with the Wolfpack after sitting out the previous year following a transfer from Alabama.

According to three NBA executives, Lacey will be chosen in the second round or wind up being undrafted.

"I would like to thank the coaching staff, university and fans for a wonderful experience the last two years at NC State, but I'd like to declare for the NBA Draft," Lacey said in a statement. "I had a great group of teammates the last two years and they'll always be like brothers to me. This has been the toughest decision of my life but I feel like pursuing this new journey in my basketball career is what is best for me."

Lacey was a second-team All-ACC pick last season. He ranked fifth in the league in 3-point percentage.

NC State was a likely preseason Top 25 team with Lacey. Without its leading scorer back, it could become a fringe NCAA tournament team.
