Bottled water flying off the shelves of NC stores as Hurricane Florence approaches

As Hurricane Florence makes its way closer to the NC coast, residents are preparing by stocking up on basic necessities like bottled water.

The photo below taken at a Walmart in Clayton - the shelves almost completely empty.

Besides making sure you have basic necessities such as food and water, be sure to have an emergency hurricane kit.
