Troopers: Person with flat tire killed on I-95 north

FOUR OAKS, NC (WTVD) -- A tractor trailer struck and killed a person attempting to cross I-95 north Thursday night, Highway Patrol confirmed.

Highway Patrol said a car pulled into the median after getting a flat tire on I-95 just north of U.S. 701 in Four Oaks.

The three people in the car were trying to walk across the highway when one was hit and killed by a tractor trailer.

Troopers said no charges will be filed. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
