Thursday, all samples came back negative for total coliform. Therefore the boil water notice was lifted for all Edgecombe County water system customers.
Boil water advisory lifted
EDGECOMBE COUNTY Wednesday officials said samples collected from the water system serving the Edgecombe water and sewer districts detected total coliform bacteria. They want customers to boil water for all consumption, including drinking, cooking and bathing.
