A former Camp Lejeune Marine pleaded guilty Thursday for his role in the murder of an Army nurse two years ago. Lance Corporal Kyle Alden pleaded guilty to being an accessory to murder second-degree arson and conspiracy to commit arson.

The charred remains of Holley Wimunc were found in a shallow grave near Camp Lejeune back in 2008.

Investigators say Alden helped John Wimunc bury his wife's remains and provided him with a phony alibi.

Alden was sentenced to a maximum of 62 months in prison.

Last week, John Wimunc pleaded guilty to murder and received a life sentence.
