Gas leak causes evacuation at Whitmer High School

TOLEDO, OH The building was evacuated. It was determined that the leak was outside.

The fire department and the gas company have let the students return to class.

Students were evacuated to the other buildings on campus: the two junior highs and the Career and Technology Center.

A school alert phone message will be sent out later today and a letter will be sent home.
