Neighbors say Bob is without a doubt the best neighbor in the Glass City -- the same Glass City recently selected by Forbes magazine as one of the top twenty most miserable cities in the U.S.
For example: no way Bob's neighbor Margaret could lift the city's new huge garbage cans herself. She said, "The cans are so heavy it takes a big man like him to do it."
We met a lot of friendly and cheerful neighbors, like Phyllis. The other day, Phyllis couldn't get her dog Pete in the car. She told us about Bob, "He saw I was having trouble getting him to the vet and he came right over and helped me."
The neighborhood recently gathered to tell Bob how much they appreciate his daily good deeds. Barb Dibel says, "He does so much for other people. He does so many things for other people that inspires other people to go out and do that same thing."
Having the best neighbor makes these west Toledoans feel they've got the best neighborhood in a far-from-miserable city.
