RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Carolina Hurricanes are closing in on their first Stanley Cup Final appearance in 20 years. Either the Canes or the Montreal Canadiens know they would face the Vegas Golden Knights for the Cup.
But when?
Now, two scenarios for the final best-of-seven series have been released.
Should the Hurricanes wrap up the series Friday night, Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final would take place June 2 in Raleigh.
That would be followed by Game 2 in Raleigh on June 4. Then the teams would go to Las Vegas for Game 3 on June 6.
Game 4 would be June 9 in Las Vegas.
If more games are necessary, Game 5 would be in Raleigh on June 11. Game 6 would be back in Las Vegas on June 14.
If the series goes a full seven games, the decisive game would be at the Lenovo Center on June 17, a Wednesday.
All games are slated for 8 p.m. and will air on ABC11.
In this case, the Stanley Cup Final would start on June 4, with Vegas visiting either Carolina or Montreal.
Game 2 would be on June 6 in either Raleigh or Montreal.
Games 3 and 4 would be in Las Vegas on June 9 and June 11.
Game 5 would be June 14 in either Raleigh or Montreal.
Game 6 would be June 17 in Las Vegas, and finally, a Game 7 would be played in either Raleigh or Montreal on June 20, a Saturday.
Again, all games would be at 8 p.m. and be televised on ABC11.
