Missing Cumberland teen sought by authorities

LINDEN, N.C.

Raven Brewington turned 14-years-old earlier this month. Fayetteville police and Cumberland County sheriff's deputies have stepped up their search for her because the man they believe she is with is wanted on three felony charges.

Fayetteville police want 20-year-old Kadeem Kirk for felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and felony possession of stolen goods. Cumberland County Sheriff's deputies want him for harboring a runaway.

Raven is an eighth grader at Pine Forest Middle School. Her mother said Raven left her family's home in Linden and ran away sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. on Dec. 12.

"Raven, we all love you. We miss you. We want you to come home. I know that you may not agree with all of our rules, but you're only 14," said Barbara Brewington. "All families have rules. We can't work on anything if you're not here."

Barbara Brewington said she knows her daughter is with Kirk and worries that Raven is in danger.

This is not the first time Raven has run away. Barbara said Raven ran away in November and returned about 11 days later.
