Autopsy reveals Jamie Hahn stabbed dozens of times

RALEIGH

Police say Jonathan Broyhill stabbed Hahn, 29, and her husband, Nation, in their north Raleigh home April 22nd.

According to an autopsy done by the state medical examiner, Hahn was stabbed 24 times, which included wounds to her hands, arms, face, neck and back.

The most serious wounds were to her abdomen and chest. Those were so severe, according to the autopsy report, that they damaged her lung and liver. She died two days later at WakeMed.

Her husband was wounded along his arms when he came to his wife's rescue. He has undergone surgery and physical therapy according to friends.

Broyhill, who was the best man in the couple's wedding, has admitted to being involved in the crime, according to a search warrant.

Police have not given a possible motive for the alleged attack, but sources have said they believe Hahn had asked Broyhill to explain why money was missing from the campaign of former Congressman Brad Miller.

Broyhill worked as an accountant for Hanh's political consulting firm, Sky Blue Strategies, where Miller was a client.

Broyhill remains at the Wake County Jail without bond. His case is slated to be reviewed next week.
