Cameron made a surprise announcement at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, revealing he's making not three but four sequels to the all-time global box office champ.
Each stand-alone film will form "a complete saga," Cameron says.
Fans can expect new films in 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2032.
In the meantime, engineers at Walt Disney World are still working on the brand new 'Avatar'-themed attraction in Florida.
Bruce Vaughn of Walt Disney Imagineering tells the Disney Parks blog the project is "really pushing boundaries of what is possible."
