Ben Affleck to direct stand-alone Batman flick

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Ben Affleck isn't quite ready to hang up Batman's cape just yet.

The 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' star confirms he will return as the Caped Crusader, this time pulling double duty as the masked vigilante and director.

The stand-alone Batman flick was announced at Las Vegas' Cinemacon by the CEO of Warner Brothers.

Affleck will also star as Batman in the upcoming Justice League films. The first in that series is set for a 2017 release.

Affleck made his debut as Gotham's Dark Knight in last month's 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.'
