FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities believe there was forced entry into a Fuquay-Varina home where two men were found dead Saturday.
David McKoy, 66, and Arthur Brown, 78, were found dead at the home in the 200 block of Howard Road, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
Families of the two men are in disbelief.
"My heart hurts because somebody had to come and do to this to two gentlemen that don't mess with nobody ever. It's just sad," said Liz Allen, one of McKoy's relatives.
Brown owned the home where the men were found, and had a cement company in town.
"Everybody here in Fuquay knows him," Allen said. "But I never known him to have any enemies."
McKoy was staying with Brown and worked for him once in a while.
"That's my mother's brother and I just got off the phone with her... checking with her. She's really upset," said Terry Harris, who is McKoy's nephew. "She is out of it right now."
Relatives of both men were trying to reach them Saturday morning.
One relative decided to just head to the home to make a welfare check. That relative soon after called 911.
"When we arrived a short time later, we did find two deceased persons," said Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison.
"For this to happen, this is like he said, it's scary," said Liz Allen. "And I'm just lost for words."
The sheriff is not saying right now how the men were killed.
