DURHAM (WTVD) -- The home of the co-founder of Burt's Bees will be revealed at its new location in Durham in December.

The company bought the 300-square-foot converted turkey coop in Maine that Burt Shavitz once called home.

Shavitz died last year and his former assistant inherited the building. That assistant said he wanted to take care of the building no matter what.

It will be open to the public daily at the company's headquarters with periodic tours of the inside.
