Man injured after car flips into median on I-540

KNIGHTDALE (WTVD) -- A serious crash happened Monday night in Wake County on I-540 near Highway 64.

A car flipped and wound up upside down in the median a little after 8:30 p.m.

Knightdale Police said a man was transported to WakeMed with serious injuries.

At one point, lanes in both directions were closed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
