Cary child running to mom struck by car

CARY (WTVD) -- A Cary child suffered a fractured leg when the child was hit by a car Thursday night.

Cary Police responded to a call of a child struck at 7:22 p.m. in the 200 block of Maynard Summit Way.

Officers said the 4-year-old was running to his mother when the car struck the child. The mother yelled to try to get the child to stop but he did not.

The driver will not face charges.

No other details were immediately available.
