One hurt in crash near Cary schools

CARY, NC (WTVD) -- A woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning after an accident at Middle Creek Park Avenue and West Lake Road, according to Cary Police.

A student was in the vehicle but not transported, said Town of Cary Police Capt. Randall Rhyne.

It is unclear what school the student attends but the accident occurred near Middle Creek Elementary School.

Police say it appears the vehicle failed to yield to a tanker truck when making a turn and was struck by the truck.
