CHICAGO -- A new study shows that the number of deaths from crib bumpers are on the rise.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says deaths from crib bumpers is up nearly 300 percent of the past decade.

The danger is suffocation, and most of the deaths could have been stopped had a bumper not been used. There have also been more than 100 cases of children choking in their cribs.
