HENDERSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles says it has closed its Henderson License Plate Agency (LPA) in Vance County due to potential violations of state criminal laws.
Investigators said alleged inappropriate activities, including accounting irregularities, warranted the closure of the office and termination of its contract. The agency had been in operation since 1994.
The investigation is ongoing.
