Durham drive-by shooting leaves man injured

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A man was hospitalized Thursday afternoon in Durham after being wounded by shots fired from a car.

Durham Police said the victim was walking near the intersection of Park Avenue and Liberty Street when a red sedan pulled up and began firing shots at him.

The victim was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting remains under investigation.
