Durham police car collides with truck

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A Durham police officer was not hurt Friday when a patrol car was involved in a crash.

It happened just before 11:30 a.m. on Angier Avenue near Pleasant Drive.

The officer had the lights and siren activated and was going to a burglary in progress call when it happened.

The patrol car collided with a box truck before hitting a tree.

The patrol car was heavily damaged.
