15-year-old girl shot at a Durham apartment complex

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A 15-year-old was shot in her side around 3 p.m.Monday at the Magnolia Point apartments in Durham, according to police.

The apartment complex is off Danube Lane.

Police said the victim was shot inside a vehicle.

She was taken to Duke Regional Hospital by a security guard at the complex.

Police said the victim is in serious condition but described her injuries as non-life threatening.
