DURHAM -- Durham police are searching for the person who shot a teenager early Wednesday morning.
Police said just before 1 a.m., officers were called to the BP gas station on Alston Avenue at Holloway Street.
When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back.
Officers later learned that the man was shot while driving in the 1500 block of Granby Street.
A passenger in the SUV was able to drive the vehicle to the gas station for help.
The unidentified victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said the pair was unable to describe the gunman.
