Man charged with rape in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Special Victims Unit have arrested a man in a November 4 sexual assault.

Police said 33-year-old Lamarcus Childress knew the victim. He's charged with attempted first-degree rape and second-degree rape.

He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
