FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are searching for a distinctive white pick-up truck that was used as a getaway vehicle after a woman was robbed at Cross Creek Mall on Monday.
Around 6 p.m., police say a man approached the woman as she walked across the Belk's parking lot, and asked her for directions.
The suspect then grabbed the woman's purse and jerked it from her.
Police said he then got into the passenger side of the white extended cab pick-up truck and fled the scene. It had a silver toolbox along the right side of the bed of the truck, and a black ladder rack on the back.
The suspect was described as a white man standing between 5'10" to 6' tall, weighing about 170 to 200 pounds, and wearing a dark brown jacket, and black pants.
