RALEIGH (WTVD) -- When one local boy learned that Sept. 11 is a hard day for firefighters in America, he decided to do something about it.
A viewer sent ABC11 photos of her nephew, William, and said he wanted to come and help his dad on this momentous day.
His father, Captain Randy Scott with the Raleigh Fire Department, along with his crew, paid tribute to 9/11 with a salute at the station Friday morning.
William is shown in the pictures donning firefighter gear and saluting right alongside his father at Station No. 4.
