COROLLA, N.C. (WTVD) -- State environmentalists are trying to find out what's killing the fish along the Outer Banks.
Dead fish are being seen for miles in the Corolla area.
They've been washing ashore since early in the week, and it's concerning locals.
Environmental experts say fish kills can happen when fishermen throw away fish they didn't want to catch. Fish kills can also be caused by lower oxygen levels in the water.
