FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WTVD) -- Recovery crews freed the body of a civilian contractor killed during a construction accident on Fort Bragg.
The worker died during a trench collapse at the Ammunition Supply Point off Manchester Road Thursday around 11 a.m.
The man's body was removed from the scene Friday around 5:45 p.m.
"We offer our condolences to the family and friends of the man who died in this accident and extend our thanks to our off-post partners who worked tirelessly and professionally in some tough conditions," said Fort Bragg spokesman Benjamin Abel in a statement.
There's no word yet on the man's identity.
