Gas leak reported near Central Prison in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Police and firefighters responded to a gas leak in the 1000-block of West Cabarrus Street near Lenoir Street in the area of Central Prison Tuesday.

The leak was reported just before noon.

PSNC said a contractor working in the area hit a gas line.

Workers shut off the gas while the pipe was repaired.
