House dreams can really come true. This is how it happened for the Davis family. After living in a cramped, the family of eight will soon move into their new home in Jefferson Township, New Jersey

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey -- Marly and Scott Davis and their six children will soon move into their new spacious home, which they literally helped to build with a hand from Habitat for Humanity.

After living in a cramped, two-bedroom city apartment for 15 years, the family of eight is preparing to settle into the four-bedroom, single-family Colonial-style home in Jefferson Township, New Jersey.

"Without Morris Habitat, we will not be able to have an affordable house," said Marly Davis.

With the help of volunteers and financial donations, Morris Habitat has paved the way for the Davis family to afford their dream home.

The property, located in the serene community of Lake Shawnee, will welcome the new homeowners with automatic membership of the Lake Club, giving them access to the beach and clubhouse.

"It's an incredible feeling to be a part of someone's journey to reach their goals. Thousands of people have similar stories of living in cramped conditions paying up to 50% or more of their income in rent, many of them professionals who live in New Jersey," said Blair Schleicher Wilson, CEO of Morris Habitat for Humanity.

Since 1985, Morris Habitat has served more than 660 families to achieve their domestic dreams.

The organization along with its volunteers has built 120 local homes and preserved 200 homes for low-income and senior residents.

"We've worked hard. We put 500 hours in sweat equity towards building the house and now to look at this, it's pretty amazing," said Scott Davis
